Wooden wiper rod made of bamboo. You can use it to dry out the inner bore of the instrument after playing by inserting or pulling the small cloth flap into the instrument while turning it.
If you remove the cloth flap and replace it with a piece of kitchen paper, you can use the cleaning rod to wipe out the bore of your instrument with a few drops of recorder oil and thus protect it against moisture.
Then remove the kitchen paper, wipe the oil off the wooden cleaning rod, reinsert the cloth flap and you are ready for the next drying operation.
Please note: Allow the oil to soak in for at least 24 hours before wiping your instrument again.
